One Teacher For Adolescents Ages 13-18 Years
Challenge
The education program that was being implemented was not a good fit for the patients or the staff. They were dissatisfied with the service they were receiving and frequently heard complaints from the patients and their parents. The program lacked appropriate support and the teacher was ineffective at managing and maintaining the classroom. In addition to this, the teacher was at the facility less than they needed because she followed the calendar for a traditional school year. Last, the teacher delegated tasks to the clinical staff, like school work calls, that were her responsibility.
